Dr. John Chambers MD   F.A.C.C.

Dr. Chambers is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is boarded in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and is HSRI certified. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. His internship in Internal Medicine was completed at the University of Nevada - Reno. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 1997, he formed the Idaho Heart Institute in Idaho Falls, Idaho.



Stephanie Leonardson NP-C

Stepanie Leonardson is the newest edition to our team here at Idaho Heart Institute. Stephanie is a graduate from Gonzaga University with a Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Stephanie comes to us with several years of Cardiac and Critical Care experience as an RN at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie is a highly qualified Practitioner here to serve the community and help with all of your Cardiology needs. 
We are excited to welcome Stephanie to Idaho Heart Institute as an integral part of our team. She will be seeing patient in Clinic and managing all of their Cardiac care. In addition she manages our Coumadin Clinic, in conjunction with our In-House lab to insure safe and appropriate care for all of our patients that require Coumadin therapy.


Dr. Patrick Gorman MD F.A.C.C.


Dr. Patrick Gorman is a Cardiologist practicing in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  He works with patients requiring specialized heart care, including interventional cardiology. 
Dr. Gorman is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine; Cardiovascular Disease; Interventional Cardiology.  He earned his Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center; completed his Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center; and attended Medical School at Uniformed Services University.​
Dr. Mason Garcia MD

Dr. Garcia joins us from Tuscon, Arizona. From 1989 to 1992 Dr. Garcia completed his internship and residency at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. From 1992 to 1995 he then acted as Chief Fellow in Cardiology, also at Christ Hospital. Dr. Garcia then from 07/95 – 06/96 completed his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Temple, Texas. Now, after practicing several years in Tucson, Arizona Dr. Garcia joins us at Idaho Heart Institute.



Dr. Doug Blank MD   F.A.C.C.

Dr. Blank is Board certified in Cardiology, receiving his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his residency at the University of Utah Medical Center. He returned to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to complete his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. As a Junior Faculty Member with emphasis on heart failure and cardiac transplantation, he was promoted to Assistant Professor. He ran the Heart Failure and Transplant program at University of Nebraska Medical Center pior to moving to Idaho Falls to join Idaho Heart Institute. He has been actively involved in heart failure clinics since 1999, with a strong interest in refractory heart failure.



Dr. Paul Gerlach MD   F.A.C.C.

Dr Paul Gerlach comes to Idaho Heart from Memphis Tenessee, where he has been in practice as an Interventional and non-invasive Clinical Cardiologist. He has previosly been on staff with the VA Medical Center - Department of Cardiology in Memphis Tenessee. He and his wife are enjoying all that Eastern Idaho has to offer.




Dr. Blake Wachter MD,   F.A.C.C., PhD
 
Dr. Blake Wachter completed her Bachelor of Science in Math, Applied Analysis at Penn State University. She completed Medical school at the University of Utah and went on completing her Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship and Advance Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Her focus is general Cardiology with an additional specialization in Heart Failure/LVAD (left ventricular assist device) and heart transplant.
While at the University of Utah she also received her PhD in medical informatics.
She is looking forward to serving and caring for the people of South East Idaho.
Dr. Wachter and her husband Ron have found Idaho Falls a great place to relocate to and raise their two children.
She looks forward participating in all the area has to offer, including her favorites of hiking, mountain biking and snow boarding.
